ClearRay UV + ClearZone Ozone = Sparkling Hot Tub Water
For those of you who are heavy users of your hot tub, we have the perfect way to compliment your ClearRay UV-C Water Purification System. While ClearRay attacks bacteria by neutralizing it and disallowing it to reproduce, the ClearZone CD Ozone Generator does something completely different. A CD ozone generator converts O2, oxygen, into O3, ozone gas by way of electrolosis. Ozone gas is an oxidizer and kills a large percentage of bacteria. Once the bacteria has been weakened and altered by ClearRay, it is passed through a chamber that injects in the ozone gas. The water and gas are then mixed up which in turn kills bacteria. You are then left with clean, fresh, polished water second to none.
The beauty of this system is the way ClearRay and the ClearZone generator work together in unison. Manufacturers have been using ozone systems for many years. It works, its a fact. The problem was in order for ozone to truly be effective, A LOT of it was needed. So, ozone generators became bigger and injected more and more of this gas into the hot tub. While it certainly did as it was supposed to, the bigger problem was too much of anything is not a good thing. In this case, too much ozone leads to plastic deterioration, most notably in the ozone injector and valves themselves. This meant leaks. Think of it this way. If you had a headache and took two aspirin, your head would feel better. If you took a dozen aspirin you would be very sick. Thats what makes the pairing of ClearRay and ClearZone together so great. The ClearRay weakens the bacteria and makes ClearZone more effective. This way, we are able to use a balanced level of ozone without issues.
